NyumNyum Reloaded!
Yesterday, I successfully re-coded NyumNyum.com using CodeIgniter Framework (CI). It is true what they say, CI is remarkably easy to used.
With new structure, i’m able to add trackback feature for NyumNyum. Hopefully this little project of mine will be grow a little bit bigger in future.

Javascript: Simple way to protect your email address
There is several ways to protect your email address from being fetch by the spam email program. The fastest way is to use javascript.
Method 1: Use function()
Create your own unique funtion. For example.
function mailmask(id, domain){
document.write(id + ‘@’ + domain);
}
To use it, simply add this string between <body> and </body>:
<script>mailmask(’info’,'phixelcode.com’)</script>

Maxis Wireless Broadband: Come with tiny USB Modem
Me and my wife go to Maxis centre located at Ampang yesterday. I’ve been looking for some alternative for my internet connection, since we has terminated our Streamyx account and has to pay RM500 for the penalty because the 12 month contract is ended on this july 2008.
Anyway, i decided to register Maxis Wireless Broadband with 3.5meg speed package for RM118 per month. Don’t be fooled by the 3.5meg connection because you will not get that connection ever… :), but, it is enough for me to upload files, update a website and getting things done. This package come with a modem, which is very small. I guess the modem Maxis used is same with Celcom, which is HUAWEI.
I have tested the connection at my home and office. i got average 40kb and 80kb respectively. not sure where the rest of connection goes… 
. The downside of Maxis Broadband is, they limited the total bandwidth to 3gig per month. As quoted on their T&C:
5.3 Excessive Usage
5.3.1 Each customer’s total usage per month shall NOT exceed 3GB of data volume transmitted (total upload and download usage). This is to ensure that no individual hogs the bandwidth at all times.
5.3.2 If a customer wishes to use more than the volume permitted, a written request should be made to Maxis.
5.3.3 Maxis reserves the right to reject the said application or charge for any additional data volume transmitted from what is already allocated.
Looks like i need to write them a letter.

Amazon order arrived!
Today I have recieved my order from Amazon. I ordered 2 books from them which is Ruby by Example and Thinkertoys - a handbook of creative-thinking techniques. The second book is for my brother.
You might say why I buy a Ruby book? Actually I’m now trying to learn something new, even though i’m not too expert on PHP programming. There is 2 more books on my list that i need to buy, which is Ruby on Rails, and CodeIginiter(Yes.. i know, CodeIgniter is run on PHP too..)
So, any recommendation on Ruby on Rails book?

Render website layout with diffrent browser selection ONLINE!
Ya, you can do that now. Before this we have to install more than 1 browser to test the layout that we’ve designed, and of course it consume lots of disk space and memory.

Astro Awani website
Well, last night i’m watching Astro Awani for the latest updates on Malaysia General Election. What I can say, very interesting results indeed. My hometown, Seberang Jaya(N10) is won by Barisan Nasional. However, DAP has takeover Penang.
And today, I feel like to access their website(www.astro.com.my/astroawani) and my AV has detected a malicious virus.
I has emailed Astro regarding this matter. Hope they reply me.
